How much did I spend?

I made a trip to Kroger today and as you can see I had a great time. I did this at 2 different stores since one ran out of the Rotel tomatoes. At the first store my cart was so heavy the cart started crying. I went into the self checkout lane so that I would not hold up the regular lanes. Well after a very longtime scanning my items and helping the attendent scan my coupons ( I gave them to her 1 at a time to ensure all got scanned) I was ready to pay my balance, swiped my card and the machine said "Attendant has been notified to assist you". The end result was thatI scanned so much and used so muchcoupons that I broke the machine, she had to get a override from the manager and after 4 tries it took the payment and then went out of service.

I must say that Kroger has done a great job of having these items in stock. I was able to get most of what I wanted with no issues, even with the number of couponers that live in my neck of the woods. I wish all of our local stores were this well stocked but unfortunatly they are not.

I would like for you all to guess the total out of pocket cost of all these items, lets see who gets the closest.

Tip: Don't forget to get a raincheck if an item is out of stock when you are at the store.

Thank God for coupons and doubling.

1-6-10 Walgreen's Trip

I had 3 - $5rr that I wanted to use and get some more cookies before the week goes out. I hope to have a HUGE stockpile of these by Saturday night. I am also running low on dishwasher tabs so this is a great week for me.
I bought
1. Finish Gelpac at 3.49 - 2.50 coupon = .99
1. Quaker oatmeal 1.99 with in ad coupon
2. Chips Ahoy cookies 1.98
2. Twin pocket portfolios with prongs .19 each - not pictured

Total was 5.34 (plus tax) minus the 5rr
I got back $3rr (2 + 1) to use next time

I plan on going back to use (2) $1rr to buy 2 cookies and a portfolio to get more free cookies and $2rr back.

Now I wish the light company would get with the program and start accepting Register Rewards as payment lol :-)

Rite Aid Trip 01/06/10

Thanks to my soon to be seven year old son for this picture. This was my first trip to RiteAid in a while. I did not even have a 5 off anything coupon. I did not go to my fav store as yet either. On sale are the Stayfree pads for
"buy 1 get 1 free" I used that with the Stayfree buy one get one free coupon in this weeks insert to make both bags of pads free.

This deal is a must have folks. If you miss this one you will be very upset at yourself so hurry into the store. Most Rite aids only restock once every 2 weeks. You can also get a raincheck if they are out of a certain kind.

There is also a "Game of life" promotion going on, where you get a game board from the store and pieces for buying certain items. check your sales ad for more details.

I went to walgreens today and did this deal.

Buy (2) 6oz boxes of Chips Ahoy at .99 each and get back 2.00 in RR which makes them free. These are great for snacks for the kids or a treat for the parent :-)

I did not have any coupons for these either.

Sunday's Walgreens Trip

Here is my first trip to Walgreens for today. Missing from this picture is 4 single AJC and 1 foil paper. I called several stores in my area and no one had the double stack of AJC so I had to get the single ones. I will check back on my way out later and also the mall to see if I can find some. I did the above in several different transaction but I will just list items, prices and coupons used.
4. Electrasol $3.49 - $2.50 (from todays SS insert) = .99 plus $1RR back. Remember that you have to do these one at a time if you want your RR to print
 8. Reynolds foil paper $1.79 - $1.00 mfr coupon from a small booklet that I found at publix last year plus a walgreens in ad coupon so they were free.
3. Dividers for .49 each
2. L'Oreal hairspray $1.29 - $1.00 mfr coupon found at the cosmetics register = .29 each
4. Sunday single ajc $8.00

So my total was not so bad today for all this stuff.
3.49 x 4 = 13.96 - 10.00 = 3.96
1.79 x 8 =  14.32 - 8.00 - 7.20 = -88
.49 x 3 = 1.47
1.29 x  2 = 2.58
8 x 1 = 8.00
____________________________________
16.89 - 10.00 rr = 6.89 plus tax
Got back $4 rr

Jan 01, 2010 Walgreens Awesome Deals

There are a few deals going on in this picture and I am very excited about them. I will list them for you all. I went into Walgreens today to kill some time while I wait to meet with someone and also to get a box of perm, yes the one in the picture $5.99 no coupons just had a 5.00 & a $2 register reward from the bayer monitor & Cheerios deal. I hate buying something and not getting back a RR so when I know this will happen as it would here if I just bought the perm, so I started looking around the store for something to buy that would be inexpensive and give me back some RR.

As I passed the lotion section of the store I noticed a orange sticker(which means clearance) next to a bottle of Jergens lotion and a red tag stating that I would get $5RR for buying 2 Jergens items. The price on the 16.8oz "Soothing Aloe Relief" was 3.59 so I bought the 2 pictured for 7.18-7.00rr paid .18 plus tax then I bought the perm :-)

Here is the breakdown for the other items

1.Sara Lee Honey Wheat Bread found at a different store for $1.00 each
2. Jergens 12.5 fl.oz lotion 4.29 each buy 2 and use a $3.00 off 2 coupon found in the 12/06 SS insert. Total $8.58 -3.00 = $5.58 and get back 5.00RR. If you have rr you can use them with this deal to make it even better.
3. The Banana Boat sunscreen were on clearance for $2.12 and $2.74, there was a $2.00 off coupon on a few of the bottles in the store so really cheap sunscreen for this summer.
4. The L'Oreal items were $1.29 each and we found $1.00 off ANY L'Oreal coupons at the cosmetics counter.

I bought a few packs of bubble gum to help out the cashiers. They need to sell a certain amount so when I can I buy what is usually on special at their counter. The Jergens seem to be a monthly RR deal, I will check it out on Sunday and update the post.

Happy shopping all
