Free feels soooooooo good

I love it when a plan comes together ... can you tell I watched too much A-Team as a kid :-) These are from my many four trips to 2 different Target stores. I saved my $4 Nivea coupons instead of running out to use them a few weeks ago and I am happy to say that it paid off.
I bought the following items and they were all for FREE. That's right FREE. I have not been shopping alot lately and now that allergy season is over for me it is time to play catch up.

1. Nivea 3.99 - 4.00 coupon = Free
2. Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-clean 8.99 - 5.00 mfr coupon = 3.99 and a Target coupon for a Free $5 gift card when you buy one. It came out in the 5/23/10 inserts whach makes it free plus $1 money maker
3. Del Monte fruit cups 2.00 - .75 coupon = 1.25

I had a $25 Target gift card to begin with from a previous shopping trip so I bought one of each item per transaction paid with that gift card and put the $5 that I got back on a new gift card, I did that until the $25 almost ran out and then used the 2nd gift card to pay while putting the $5 on the old gift card. You can go all day doing that or until you run out of coupons or until they kick you out of the store. lol

This is going to be a good week at Cvs and Walgreens. Not too much action but just enough to keep you going. Check out  http://www.southernsavers.com/ for the weekly list, make your shopping list and get your coupons cut by Saturday night if possible.

Free Giftcards with purchase

There are a few places currently offering Free giftcards with the purchase of another giftcard. These offers are for a limited time and you should get them as soon as you can.

1. Dsw - April 21st to May 9th - Buy a $50 gifrcard and get a $10 giftcard for free
2. Cvs -  Buy a $25 giftcard and get a $5 giftcard free. This one is an ecard. I would call customer service to verify.
3. Publix - Buy a $50 American express giftcard and get a $10 Publix giftcard free

I spend cash at these stores anyway so getting these free is awesome.

I actually paid over $55 because I did not have a few coupons and taxes. The retail value was over $550 as well so not too bad.

Do you need past week inserts?

Sometimes a deal comes along and I find that I only bought 8 newspaper that week but I would really want 20 of that item. Well if and when this happens to you, contact me and see if I can get any extra insert or coupons for you.

There are coupon clipping services that you can use but sometimes we need them now and can't wait 3 days to get them.  I have a local connection that may have what you need so please let me know if you need any previous weeks inserts.

Great deals at Walgreens this week

There are some awesome deals at Walgreens this week and I am really excited. Most of these items will be FREE after Register Rewards and some will even make you money. If you do not have RR from a previous transaction then you will need to spend some money out of pocket first to get the RR.

Here is the list of the ones that I took advantage of this week.

1. Tone body wash 3.99 with 3rr back
Makes it .99 after rr (No coupons used for this one)

2. Skintimate shaving crean 2.99 with 3rr
FREE after rr (No coupons used for this one)

3. Stayfree pads 16-24ct 2.99 with $3rr
FREE after rr (used $2 coupon from 3/28/10 Red Plum)
This is what we call a moneymaker because you get back more than you spend.

4. Placker flossers $2 with $2rr
Moneymaker used .50/1 coupon from 4/18/10 rp

5. Walgreens foil paper $1.19
Used coupon in walgreens ad to make it .59
This was used as my filler item since it is something we use and can donate

Here is a series of transactions that you can do to get started

#1. Buy:
    (1) pack of Stayfree pad

    Use $2 off stayfree coupon
    Pay .99 plus tax out of pocket and get back $3rr
    Repeat this transaction 2 more times for a total of 3 - you will end up with $9 in rr ($3,$3,$3)

#2. Buy:
    (1) Tone body wash 3.99
    (1) Skintimate shaving creme 2.99
    (1) Placker flossers 2.00
    (1) Walgreens foil paper 1.19

Use
    .50 off Plackers
    (3) $3 register reward from previous transactions
    (1) Walgreens in ad coupon for foil paper, will take off .60

Total will be .07 plus tax after all coupons have been applied.
