Cvs & Walgreens List for 8/30/09

There isn't too much at Cvs for me on Sunday but here is my list. Walgreens looks like it will be more promising. I will do this as if I do not have any Extra bucks or Register Rewards to begin with. This way newbies will know what to do as well.

1-$3 off Glade candle in this weeks newspaper, it is on a seperate Kroger sheet in the newspaper so look well for this one.

Total $6.49 plus tax
Then you get back $6.99 ECB-Extracare bucks at the end of your receipt for you to spend again in the store. If you do not want to get the newspaper then you will pay 4.49 but I would suggest that you do get it with this deal because you are basically getting your money back for it.

I have a $6.99 ECB from last week so I will add a local sunday paper for .50 and pay nothing or taxes, then get back the 6.99 ecb


Walgreens
I have a few at Walgreens. These items give back RR and I put how much at the front of each item so you can see what you will get back. Unlike CVS Walgreens will not key down your rewards. They are treated just like regular Manufacturers coupons. You do not have to do these all the same day or even at the same time but it is good to have and you can repeat as many times as your store has products.
Please be kind to others in line, do not do more than 2 or 3 deals when there are others waiting to be cashed out. cash you 3 and then go to the back of the line.

Publix Grape Magazine

Hi All, I found this new magazine in Publix today. In there you will find a coupon for $1 off 1 Philadelphia Cream Cheese. It does not expire until January 2010, so make sure you grab as many as you can/need. They are free and are usually with the weekly sales ad. Your store may have it in a different location so ask them if you cannot find it.

Sunday Insert Shopping - Rite aid

I did not get much at RiteAid this week, I will be going back on Thursday since they have stock coming in. I was working on a SCR gift card rebate so I needed another item to complete it.

I saw Tylenol 8 hour tabs on sale for $2.99 and a 2.00 coupon in this weeks insert, plus there is a $2 Single Check Rebate on it. The end result is that I paid $1 for it and I will get back a check for $2. That is what we call a money maker.

Sunday Insert Shopping - CVS

This week is going to be an interesting week for me, I think I will be getting lots of rainchecks for a few items. Don't forget to ask for a raincheck if your store is out of an item it will come in handy later.

This weeks insert did not look like much to me at first but as usual I find coupons in them that make it worth getting my usual dozen or so. :)

This is my cvs trip this morning. I started with $1.98 in ECB

3-Glade Sense and Spray - $5 each (buy $10 get back $3ECB)

2-Double Stack AJC - $5

3-$4 off Glade = -12.00 (from 8/23/09 SS-Smart Source insert)

1-$4 off $20 = -4.00 (from the Readyfill booklet at the pharmacy)

1-$1.98 ECB = -1.98

Total Due is $2.02 plus tax

Got back $3.00 ECB to use on next transaction which I did right away.

Free to Low cost Covergirl items at Publix

This is a great deal for al who wear nail polish, makeup and use eyebrow pencils and more. In this months Publix Green Advantage buy flyer (located in most stores on the same rack as the store ad) there is a Publix coupon for $2 off ANY covergirl item coupon. This will make most of the smaller items .49 to .99.

Bonus: If you had the P&G coupon insert that came in the AJC on 8/02/09 then you will have 2 extra manufacturer coupons inside, one for $1 off any Covergirl item and another for $2.50 off any 2 covergirl item.

If you buy 2 covergirl items then you can use

Great Deals at Walgrens

Ok. There are a few deals at Walgreens that I think you cannot miss out on this week. This will be good for those of you who are just starting and also those who are used to using Register Rewards (RR) will not want to miss these either. One of these is using a coupon from this weeks insert and the other is using a coupon booklet found in the childrens books section at Walgreens.

The best one to me is a money maker deal. When we say money maker, it means that you will be getting back more RR - Register Rewards than cash spent.

Colgate Total Enammel Strength - Cost is $2.99

Less Colgate coupon in Smart Source 8/09 -$1.00

You pay $1.99 plus tax(on 2.99) and you get back $3.00 RR towards your next purchase.

You can then use the $3RR to buy the next deal which is the Neosporin pictured below.

Buy 1 coloring book above ( take out $2 coupon before) and 2 neosporin at $3.99 each = 8.97 - 4.00 = 4.97 - 4rr = 0.97 cents plus tax on the 8.97

Useonly (1) 2.00 off Neosporin Walgreens coupon in the coloring book pictured. It will actually take off $4.00 off your total instead of the $2.00, and get back $4RR to spend again on another purchase at the end.

Hi all. I hope you all had a great weekend. My hubby went shopping with me again today and we scored some great bargains. Here is one of them using the coupons that were in todays AJC coupon inserts.

This is a Rite aid deal and you can actually do this one this saturday night 9/15/09 but instead of the double stack you can get the early edition Sunday paper.

We love these air freshners and when I get coupons for them I really stock up.
I bought the following:
2 - Large Air Wick imotion Fresh o matic ultra 6.99 each = 13.98
2 - Small Air wick imotion scented oil 4.99 each = 09.98
1 - Ajc double stack 2.50 = 2.50
Total was $26.46

Great Deals from this Sundays inserts part 1

While frantically looking for back to school items for our children yesterday, my husband and I got some really great deals. Remember last week I sent you all an email letting you know that this weekends paper was going to be awesome? Well, I am going list a few deals that I got using coupons from this weekends paper. It was hard to find the double stacks yesterday, most stores sold out so quickly, I was amazed. I was forced to buy some from Walmart of all places :(

Here is deal #1 from Walgreens:

The Vaseline lotions are on sale this week for 25% off, each 220ml bottle was $2.69 after discount. When you buy 8 of them you will get $10 in RR(Register Rewards - Money to use in the store again)

8 - 220ml vaseline at $2.69 each = 21.52
2 - 10 pack pencils at $0.19 each = .38
Total $21.90

Coupons Used
8 - 1.50 off vaseline from RP 8/02 -12.00
2 - RR's from previous purchase -7.50


Total after discounts & coupons was $2.40 plus tax on retail. I also got back $10 rr to spend again in the store.


Deal #2 from Rite Aid


These are for listerine agent cool blue rinse for our children. They love them so when I sawthat we were getting bogo coupons I was very happy. The regular retail for one will be between 4.99 and 5.29 so sale plus a $1 coupon used to be good for me. These were even better, on sale at Rite aid


We did this transaction 2 times because there is a $25 rebate offer available on listerine products. Check the August Single Check rebate booklet found in Riteaid for more info.

6 - Listerine cool blue at 3.99 each = 23.94
1 - double stack ajc = 2.50
Total 26.44 plus tax
Coupons used:
1 - $5 off 25 rite aid coupon
3 - bogo cool blue = 11.97
3 - $1 off cool blue - (for the 3 I paid for per say)
Total Coupons 19.97

My total was 3.97 plus tax (I usually do not put the tax because some counties pay more than others). And as mentioned above, I will be getting back a $25 Rite aid gift card through the mail.
